just wish the Energizer bunny was working today! Actually, we've made lots of progress as the pictures will attest. The dining room and living room are now painted. The carpet pulled in the hallway and living room. The family room is nearly painted and most everything is boxed and ready to go out in the garage while we finish up.
The contractors are setting their dates now. But it looks like we won't have the kitchen countertops installed until the 31st of this month. (I guess we'll just have to hope that the flooring contractor will wait on the kitchen area until AFTER the countertops are in.) They are sending out someone next week to make the template, so we are making progress in that area. I think we'll all be happy to have everything done and put back into place and we can just relax and enjoy our surroundings again.
Now, here are the pictures I promised:
for some reason the colors are coming out a lot darker -- but the walls are the same colors as in the kitchen. Must be the lighting from the new chandelier!
The living room looks really bright in this picture --- it's a soft green, muted and really restfull. I think we'll find we'll love the new look once the floors are in and the furniture returned in it's new look as well! The pillows and new slipcovers arrived last week. I'm really anxious to get things put back together.
The fireplace has the same color of paint on it as does the lower part of the walls. It's a soft brown, called Haystack. The upper walls color is called Macaw. Warm and mellow and inviting. I can't wait to add the new accent colors!
Look at the difference in the two colors. The old color is on the right and the left is our new warm Macaw color! Reminds me of desert colors. The dark TV armoir is a thing of the past and the new "lighter" one is awaiting in the hallway in a box.
