since I last posted!
We've been really busy and I don't see things slowing down anytime soon --- Between the new job and some side committments, well, it's just not too easy to get here as often as I'd like.
We've opened the pool --- two months early! T thought it would be a great idea since the temps were, at that time, in the mid 80's on a pretty consistent basis--- Well, they were! It's down in the 30's today and there's no way anyone is spending any more time than necessary outside.
It's coming up Easter weekend too and it's snowing in the northwestern part of the state today. We're having a few people over for dinner and I found a really cool presentation complete with music to share with everyone. I can't wait for it to finish downloading so I can get it transferred to a disc and have it ready. I also found some cool music by a couple of LDS artists to use as background music during dinner. I just wish it would be warm enough to have it outside this weekend. But I don't see that happening. Just too cool.
Mom's 75th birthday is coming up in another week. There are some wonderful birthday celebration plans in place. And since Mom doesn't ever pop in here (unless I tell her to), I'll let you in on a secret....we're heading out there to surprise her! We're excited because we've added a couple of extra days on either side of the "BIG" day to see some friends and just have a good time before heading up to the resort where her party is being held. We've reserved a room at the resort and it would be really nice if I could squeeze in a massage while there. T will probably spend his free time in the exercise room so he won't miss out on his weekend walk/jog/run!
I did get all the pictures from last year's camping reunion put together in a short video, got some music embedded and now, it's ready to put on the discs. I'm hoping to get that done before calling it a day --- there are only 20 discs to burn. The covers for the cases are also printed.
Since everyone is bringing a digital camera to the party, we're all downloading the pics into my computer after the party and we'll spend the evening picking out a hundred or two to use in a short video memory album. The covers for the cases for those are done too...Here's a pic of that one.
I hope she likes it.
All the elements (papers, cards and monogram) are from Shabby Princess. Ya just gotta love the freebies. I'm really liking the digital creative process. I picked up a few more goodies this morning from Scrap Girls and hopefully, I'll be able to find some time to play with some of that stuff in the next few weeks. I'm sure that since I've nearly gotten the fall tour in place for all the presenters, I'll have a little more time to dedicate to "play!"
T doesn't have any big trips planned after we get back --- The kids are all doing quite well at the moment and we're really looking forward to seeing and spending some time with G this next week. His Easter gift should be arriving any minute now! T is loving it too. Spoiling grandkids is loads of fun! He's already got enough stuff to fill a suitcase to take out there to him!
