Christmas Day was a quiet one here. Only two of the kids were here to share it with us. T was on an airplane heading home after seeing our new grandson. I'd come down with a terrible sore throat and thinking it might be strep, stayed put here at home. We didn't open gifts under the tree until T arrived home and we'd had our dinner -- ham, candied yams, salad, veggies, assorted sides and of course, hot rolls and orange rolls. It was great and the guys did the clean-up afterwards. Since T and I had already gotten our gifts pre-Christmas eve, the kids opened theirs while T and I watched. The book from T's folks proved to be the biggest hit. A book about the Logan Temple and MIL's testimony about temples inside along with a picture of T's folks at the temple.
Today I finally caved in and went into the dr. Thank heaven's it's not strep --- but I got one whale of a lecture on de-stressing! That's an ulcer back there and it's huge (more than 3 cm with lots of inflammation) according to the Dr. Go home and relax, girl --- ummm, how do I do that? There's a whole lot going on and today's phone call from the MTC put another "chink" in. Oh, well -- just another $300 to sink into another new pair of glasses for youngest DS. That's 2 calls in less than a week.
I have made a few cards this week. All thank you cards. I've also done a bit of cutting for some thinking of you cards. I just wish I had an electronic cutter. Would have been so much easier! LOL Oh well, if replacing the roof doesn't wipe out the savings account, I might be able to do it.
