looking through boxes of photos, not finding the ones you're looking for, but enjoying the reminiscing that each brings as you view the scenery or the people the camera focused on. Laughter and tears of joy as Ted and I searched, stopped, pondered, enjoyed and reveled in the memories that came to light last evening. I didn't find the group of photos I'd been looking for, but did find something so much more important...wonderful memories and the feelings I had at the time and some meloncholy for those no longer with us on this earth, but who are also so much a part of us.
Needless to say, today, I'll be spending a little more time looking through those boxes in hopes of finding a picture I know I have -- one of the old Morgan home in Layton. Oh, it just has to be here! I found the pictures of the headstones in the cemetaries, but not the ones of the homes....so the search will go on today.
We shared a few emails with Mike yesterday. He's doing ok and he even sent a couple more photos as well as posted a few on his facebook. The tacos he and his companion fixed looked good, though I'm not to sure about the scrambled cookies! ;o)
Last evening, I tried something I saw over on http://stamptv.com using tumbled tiles and staz-on ink. I used GinaK's Elegant Flowers and Bold Flowers stamps too and had a bit of fun. Although her samples shows different colors used on the tiles, I got a tile with a much grayer tone --- slate gray, but I do like the results:
the sentiment doesn't really show up in this picture, but it says: Friends are like flowers. They make life more beautiful.
