Today's nurturing moment is:
May words that build and comfort be your gifts to those around you. - Joni Hilton
This is a tease - Just a glimpse at a bit of this year's Father's day cards for our boys -- They're all in envelopes and ready for mailing! They were fun to make and a CASE from a designer on a blog -- I just can't remember who at the moment - my oops not to make a note of that. The colorways are a bit different, but the design is basically the same. All have some hand coloring on them. And I even got Ted to sign each one this go round! Sweet!
We had a GREAT time making cards and there was even some scrapbooking happening too yesterday. All of the gals had a good time and the birthday celebration was fun too. There was plenty of cake and ice cream to go around. I just need to email the pictures to the birthday girl! LOL
Andrea helped out by making some goodies for the barbecue -- she did the grilling honors too. The hamburgers were yummy and cooked to perfection. She's really got that down now.
Here's a pic of one of the "sides" This idea comes from FamilyFun.com. We thought it was cute enough to try to replicate. And using a scratch cake recipe we make the cupcakes. Andrea bought some jelly beans and had some starbursts in a stash in her room. We still have one and a half cobs left over as well as some extra cupcakes that we'll be sharing later today! LOL I don't need all that sugar around here ---
We have an early meeting this morning at the church and an appointment later this evening. Looks like this Sunday is going to be a full one. Ted has already read the Sunday School lesson to me this morning. I think we're just about good to go for the day.
Hope you have a wonder-filled day (Thanks, Jamie for the new word, by the way)!
