it's that for one reason or another I couldn't! No posts, no nothing! But I'm back, at least for today! So that's a good thing and I'm grateful.
We had a delightful day of cardmaking and enjoying each other's company! What joy that was! There was some bright berry quilling going on in one corner of the room -- lots of bling being applied in another. The punches were getting a workout over on one side of the table (they were busy little bees!) I got to use the new circle "shim" and do a little card play with it and I really like the results:
all paper, inks, stamps and ribbons and embellishments, SU. The original circle die was by Spellbinders, chipboard shim, from stash. Cuttlebug folder and machine, PC. I have a feeling that the cards in this 4 card collection will be long gone by the end of the week.
I've been waiting for this set for a long time and I'm really happy to finally have it in my collection! I'm sure we'll put it to good use! This card was only in the sample box for a day or two before it went out in the mail. There was a friend who needed it it much more than I did.
Well, as most of you know if you've been following us on Facebook, Jeromie, our oldest son, was hurt in a motorcycle accident a couple of weeks ago, now. He was very lucky and we're grateful that he was following all the rules and guidelines set down by the raceway -- was wearing a helmet, leathers, steel-toed boots and heavy leather gloves. Our Heavenly Father was there with him during the accident watching over him as were the angels. He walked away with what we consider minor injuries -- a cracked sternum and a shattered right wrist. It truly could have been so much worse. Jeromie is back to work full time and is in PT. He's also looking forward to the day he can get back on the bike and the racetrack again -- much to my chagrin, but I know he has to do it. They've also started the process of rebuilding the bike for that day.
Last weekend, our family living in UT met together for a mini reunion! What a joyful time that was! We loved the pictures that were shared and it looked like everyone had a great visit and enjoyed the company and the food. What was the final count? Anyone get it?
Well, guess that's about it for the time being. Have a fabulous day!
