Saturday's card making revolved around using up some stamped images from the week before. Couldn't let them go to waste as they were cluttering up the desk and I also wanted to use my new border punch at least once - during the day. So, here's what I came up with:
I cuttlebugged this one twice, using the script folder, then the heart folder over that. Inking with white over the hearts. It looks so cool, and I'm not sure if it really shows up in the picture, but if you click on the pic, you'll get a bit larger view.
I tore the edges, but didn't ink them with the white or matching ink, I left it au natural - this go round. Added some Vanilla ribbon and popped on the stamped image and added everything on to the top folded off-white card base.
All papers, ink, ribbon, stamps are SU!
Using the same stamped image and two different Cuttlebug folders, I punched the lower edge of the cardstock first, then using a border folder, created the With Love edge. Then using the heart embossing folder, embossed the rest of the card.
Using the Just Chillin' card for the Slice, cut the wings from Vellum at 2 1/2 " and applied them with a glue dot directly to the stock and then with glue dots added the heart on top. You could pop up the heart if you wanted, but I wanted this to be flat - for easy mailing. The card base is off-white. All paper, ink and the punch, and stamp is SU!
I think of the 4 cards I made (oops, I didn't take a picture of one of them) on Saturday, this is my favorite! It really is simple, but elegant. I used a background stamp and versamark ink. I just wanted that hint of an image on the background and hearts and swirls were perfect! And who knew how perfectly the scalloped die from the nestabilities set and the cuttlebug heart frame would match up???? So cool!
Even though this doesn't have the sentiment on the inside, it lends itself to several occasions, don't you think?
Guess that's about it for now... need to get my fill in for the next little bit, since there won't be any crafting going on for a few weeks while I'm traveling - it's time for the annual trek to AZ. Looking forward to seeing the kids and looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new ones at the annual Nurtured Heart Advanced Training. Have a great day!
