It's a little cloudy this morning - but it doesn't put a damper in any way on this past weekend's creative fun or what I hope to accomplish this week! Lots of great ideas generating and hopefully Fall ideas will be abounding!
Halloween stuff seemed to be the focus for me this weekend. Just couldn't help it with all the new ideas that kept popping up all over the place. SVGCuts released a cool new kit that included a lantern and then they also released a freebie that you could incorporate into the lantern window too with just a bit of resizing. I can also see the possibility of using the web from another kit in the lantern window, and might try that on the next cut - as I see several more of these in the future. You can click on the pic for a larger image.
All and inks are SU! Fibers, EK Success and the spider is from OT, I think. The cut is from SVGCuts.com. You can put a battery operated candle inside the lantern (never a real flame). The wire is from The Bead Store.
Most of the papers are SU! The purple print is from an old paper pack that was included in a magazine purchase. Fibers from Lion Brand yarn, Embossing folder and machines from PC
This idea was conceived from a quilted table runner I saw in an old Fons & Porter quilting magazine I had stashed by the bed a couple of weeks ago. I've been mulling over this idea and wondering how I could pull it together. The cut files are from myscrapchick.com I'm not sure if the kits are available or not anymore, but I sure enjoyed figuring out that I could combine them and then since I've taken this picture, I've scrunched up the hat, added a bit more bling to the star, inked it a bit more and changed out the background for the card base. In doing so, I like the end result even better!
I pulled out the 3-D letter kit again and wanted to begin a Halloween scape. So here's the start of that. No embellishments yet, just the lettering. I've resized all the letters to 8 inches so I could use 8 1/2 by 11 inch papers and keep it simple. All the bases are made with white paper and inked with Going Gray, and Concord Crush (SU) The pattern papers are from SU and The Paper Studio.
