ok, I've thought about updating the blog...several times over the last month and 2/3rds, but there just didn't seem to be enough time to do it until...................... TODAY! So taking a short break from some card making this morning and will post a few pics.
The garden is planted and looks like we might have some corn by the 4th of July! T is so happy to see the fruits of his labors and it's been joyful to say the least.
The May storms just about did us in, but we're so happy that the house and garden all survived as did our neighborhood. VERY GRATEFUL! Feel so bad about those who lost all in the May tornadoes that swept through our area. We're guessing that the last series of storms lifted just as they got to our neighborhood and then dropped again after passing by. We heard the "rumble" as it passed so close by.
I got busy over those few days and made over 150 thank you cards for an upcoming event. No pictures of those.
However, here are a few that I can share:
Using SVGCut's lamp file, here's an adapted version using a flourish from another file.
Using a free file from SVGCuts.com and my printer, this was a quick and easy card to do.
simply adorable and a quick make from SVGCuts.
The Gnome is from MyScrapChick.com and I printed the sentiment on the cardstock before assembling the gnome. So fun!
I've seen all kinds of words applied to wood lengths recently -- some out of the budget range, so here's my take using paper boxes, printing on the computer and lots of paint and inkiing. So much fun and they look like real wood, but so much lighter.
Then I decided to take this one step further and using the Shadow box frame from Lori Whitlock, and using the planks from an SVGCuts kit, this was my result. It's so pretty.
The S'More box from SVGCuts - so cute and fun and just the right size for a gift card in the bottom.
A cute easel card from MyScrapChick. This was a quick to put together card too.
Using SVGCut's file, I created this card for my sister and her family. So much fun!
Another SVGCuts file. Love these 3-D goodies that Mary and Leo share with us every week.
this card will go with the piano when it is shared with it's new owner. This turned out really nice too.
This gift card holder is from the brand new purses kit at SVGCuts. Love this and it's so quick and easy... 7 more cut and ready to go.
Well, time to take a bit of a break and get back to some creative work here. Have an awesome weekend and thanks for dropping by.
