"Believe that your conversations with your children may not be written in their journals but they will be written in their hearts." Hilary Weeks
I was reading an article last evening that statement just stood out and led me to thoughts of days gone by where we sat around the table talking, sharing, creating and being. Very fond memories for me and hopefully, for my children.
It has been a long time since my last post -- lots of ups. Lots of downs. Changes and more. Many gifts and blessings as well.
The yearly trek to AZ is now over and I'm back to the familiar routine again....well, for the most part. It seems that we're back to remodeling a bit again. I promise, we're not doing the kitchen cabinets, but we are tackling the floor again. We've evidently had a couple of major leaks over the past couple of years... one that didn't appear to be doing any considerable damage and the other, well, that's another story all together. Last Saturday we removed all the flooring and had to let the concrete pad thoroughly dry. We're replacing the dishwasher and capping a line on the fridge to prevent future leaking. We're replacing the wood flooring in the kitchen area only with some terra cotta colored vinyl. We were really lucky to get the price we did and hopefully, it will go smoothly (no pun intended) when we lay it down next week after things are installed.
In the meantime, all crafting hasn't ceased, I just haven't taken loads of pictures to share of late. I've been working on some new ideas for my Greatness Media line and it's coming along fairly well. I've had some requests for cards and more customized gems too. That makes me feel good that there's still a need for these materials.
I'm still in love with 3D papercrafting and although I've not done as much as I'd like, I've stocked up on patterns and am hoping to squeeze in some crafting at least 3 days a week if work projects will allow it.
Here are a few of the things that I've done over the last few months.
More to come in a few days... still need to edit some pictures. Also finished up the scrapbook I'd been working on for a couple of years. So glad to have it finished and pass it on!
