Ok, I know you're all likely tired of the song, but the word HAPPY is also a nice way to start a sentiment on a card for those you care about. This card was inspired by something similar on Pinterest. August is filled with birthdays -- starting early in the month and going all the way to the end.
I used my diecutting machine (Sizzix eclips) and eCal software to create the letters. I cut them 5 times for some depth. I did run the top layer through an embossing folder before stacking each layer. These were nearly at the maximum size for the Xyron X.... but it sure made life easier in applying adhesive and stacking each letter and then spraying them with my eBrush and Sharpie markers. The birthday was printed on each card using PrintShop - which for me is the perfect way to mass produce the printed portion of the card. I did leave the inside blank to personalize them. I used Bangle Wide for all the text on the card.
One of my daughters has a suggestion for her boys' birthday invites every year and then gives me carte blanche on creating something for the impending celebration. This year, it was Cars! The car file is from Designs on Cloud 9. I made a template for the background using torn paper, then scanned it and printed it in PrintShop. The highway sign is almost an official highway sign for the state they live in. I added a black 3 cut on the eclips.
The inside of the card has a simple fill in the blank for Date, Time, Place and of course the all important RSVP information.
Thanks for dropping by... have a crafty day!
