We used to have a sign that we put out in the yard every winter... unfortunately, it's seen better times. Time to make another!
It's my turn for this week's eBrush Design Team project. Take a peek at my newest addition to my snowman collection!
This garland will be gracing the living room window and joining the rest of my snowman collection after the holidays.
You'll need:
images for your garland (I used an old papercrafting magazine for the snowman and a winter
snowflake from basic shapes in my electronic die cutting machine software)
White Cardstock
eBrush and AD adapter (use the foam cushion hack)
Markers, Bic Mark-Its (black, red, med blue)
Red glitter pen, White gel pen
Wire
Fabric for knots, cut 1 1/2 in x 9 in
embellishments as desired
Xyron - permanent adhesive
wire, fibers or other material for stringing
Stencil material (I used an inkjet transparency)
Because my garland is made from paper, I wanted the images to be fairly sturdy. Trace your image. In the software, ungroup the image and set aside all of the top pieces. I had 2 pieces for the hat and 3 pieces for the scarf. I cut a stencil using the top pieces and cut the bottom layer of the snowman for my image base. I cut the base image 4 times for each image. I also cut 4 layers for each snowflake. Run two layers of each through the Xryon and set aside. Set aside one of the remaining layers for each image.
As you know, the eBrush with the marker adapters or the siphon adapter is my go to tool for nearly all my crafting! It's a workhorse and makes shading, stenciling and more a breeze!
Now, let's get to that last layer!
Get your eBrush ready for a workout.
Once all your painting and coloring is completed, run the top image through the Xyron and add to the previous layered pieces. Do the same with the snowflakes. Once all your images are completely stacked, using a piercing tool, make a hole on opposite sides of each image and string as desired. Embellish as desired... adding some glitter and gel pen.
Even the fabric is sprayed using a stencil.
Thanks for dropping by! Hope you've incorporated some crafty time into your week! Nurture your heart!
