Hi friends, glad you dropped by. Have those flu bugs or winter colds been making an appearance at your house? Well, for a time, we thought they were going to take up permanent residence here. Thankfully, they've said goodbye.... and I hope they don't make another appearance any time soon.
Pink & Main has a really cute stamp set just for this occasion. So much fun to play with.
You'll need:
Ink (Versa Mark; Black or Dk Brown)
Stamps (Get Well and Speech Patterns)
Water color pencils
blending stump and odorless mineral spirits
eBrush
Spectrum Noir markers (LY1, LY2, GB1, TN3)
embossing folder
clear embossing powder
Card stock (white 4 x 5.25 in; black 4.25 x 5.50 in; card base 4.25 x 11 in)
Stamp desired image, color with pencils and set aside.
Stamp "get well" with versa mark ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Emboss the lower portion of the card front. Mask the upper portion of the card and using the ebrush spray one portion of the embossed area with the lighter brown marker as the lower part of the wall. Mask this portion and spray the bottom area with the darker marker. You can add a little more definition for wood planking by using the pen end of the marker in your ebrush and spray lightly in short vertical lines. Then use a lighter brown pen just to the right of some of the darker lines and lightly diffuse some of the darker color (must be an alcohol marker). Score a "chair rail" if desired. Remove the mask for the upper section and mask off the bottom ... you can now spray the upper portion of the card for the wall. Wipe the excess ink off of the heat embossed words on the "wall."
You can now finish your card. I added a wiggle piece to the focal image and adhered to
the card front. The inside has a speech bubble with the same get well sentiment used on the front of the card.
Again, thanks for dropping by and hope you'll make this a regular stop on your blog stops. See you soon with another ebrush project shortly!
