Hi everyone. Here's a fun card with a stamped imaged colored in using Spectrum Noir markers. The image is from a set called Stained Glass (CS220L) from the Forever in Time Paper Craft Collection (Etsy) I love the look of Stained Glass, how about you?
Stamp (and an acrylic block)
Memento Ink (black)
Craftwell eBrush (SN adapter)
Spectrum Noir Markers (LY1,LY2, LY3, PP1, PP3, PP4, PP6, LG1, LG2, LG3, IB1, IB2, IG1, Blender)
White Satin Ribbon (8 inches is oodles - from my stash)
Card stock (white card for image and card base, pink card for card front)
Stencil (brocade or other image with flourishes - from my stencil stash)
Stamp image in black ink. Color in using color families as desired, blending as needed. Because the white of the cardstock looked too stark, I filled those areas in lightly with the IG1 marker with just a little more shading around the outer edges and the flowers and leaves. Set aside
With the ebrush and the SN adapter, select the PP3 and lightly spray around the edges and a bit more on the pink card stock (see photo below). Line up the stencil as desired over the pink card stock and with PP6 in the ebrush, spray about 1 - 1.5 inch into the card stock along one long side. The interior edges should be slightly lighter than the border edge. If you're worried about getting too straight of an edge, add a torn piece of paper between the stencil and card stock and spray. Remove the stencil and set the card stock aside.
Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to wrap around the back of the pink card stock. You can tape down each end.... spray with PP3 as evenly as you can. Since you're using alcohol markers, the ribbon will be dry and ready to use as soon as you put the cap on the marker. The ribbon really is evenly colored. The light reflecting off the ribbon gives it the uneven effect.
Wrap the ribbon around the pink card stock and secure. Adhere the pink card stock to your card base. Using pop dots, adhere the image to the card front, embellish more as desired.
Thanks for dropping by.... hoping you'll enjoy some crafting time today!
I'm leaving my card blank for the moment.... Sentiment and final embellishment to be added later.
