This was a quick put together using three files from SVGCuts.com The baby shoe is from this svg collection, and the bow is from this collection. The humming bird is a free file available here.
I resized the bow so it would fit on the toe of the shoe. I also cut a slide to fit on the strap. Once all the pieces were cut using my eclips and eCal2 software, I colored the pieces using the eBrush and some Spectrum Noir markers. These are sprayed using IB1 and held the eBrush about 2 inches above the paper pieces so I got a splattered effect and the color was barely visible. Once the shoe elements were all sprayed and edged with another layer of color, I glued the pieces together.
I sprayed the bow pieces and also the brad and attach to the shoe using a couple of dots of glue.
The hummingbird pieces were sprayed next using markers in the BG family and a bright pink for the hummingbird throat. The hummingbird is about 3 inches tall from beak to tail. I glued a toothpick to the back to secure the bird in the shoe. Baby blue sprayed eggs and some contrasting bright pink dots completed the eggs. Add some moss and arrange the eggs and hummingbird and you're good to go!
Make up a few of these and use as placeholders at the Sunday table for Easter. Or enlarge the files and create a very unique centerpiece.
Be sure to check out the blog at Craftwell this coming week.... I heard they were announcing the new Design Team for both the eBoss and the eBrush. I hear there's a lot of talent on both teams this coming term.
Also, feel free to join us on our associated Facebook pages too! We'd love to have you join in the fun! I heard there will be some additional challenges and drawings held throughout April!
