This fun box file is a shape available in the Sizzix eShape store - you can buy it as a single or as part of a collection. I {heart} it! Wanna get in on a good deal? Visit our eclips eCal Facebook page and get your code for 25% off any files in the eShape store!
You'll need:
Poster board (neon yellow works for me)
Orange sharpie
eBrush
Chevron stencil
Ribbon
Cutting files
Electronic Cutting machine, software, pen tool, fine tipped marker
optional: ribbon, adhesive, embellishments
Open your cutting file in your machine's software. Size as desired. If you're using posterboard, I used a multi-cut feature. You may want to do the scoring in a different pass through as I found that double scoring was a bit more than a kiss-cut.
Prep your eBrush and your marker. Make sure it's set to give you the best spray possible. I only sprayed the flaps of the box leaving the center square blank. See the photo:
Make your tag.... I just used some cardstock and sprayed the background piece the same orange as used on the box flaps.
You can spray the ribbon if you like, but I just happened to have a piece of orange that nearly matched.
Since this is a birthday gift, I decided to create a stand up for the center using the pen tool for the lettering and a simple cut out for the numbers. I made two and sandwiched a piece of black paper in between.... what do you think? I have a couple more surprises to add but I'm thinking it will bring a smile to his face.
