Halloween isn't all that far away and we've been opening a few boxes finding some older decor and creating some new! We've had a Halloween tree in the past.. and we're putting one together for this year too; taking it up a notch by adding some quick goodies featuring some eBrushed "ornaments."
You'll need:
Black Cat SVG (download here) Eyes (download here)
Hat from the Jack O'Lantern in the Haunted Forest SVG File (SVGCuts)
Black 12 x 12 solid core paper
Orange paper (scrap)
Pearl Ex (Iridescent)
eBrush
siphon adapter
water
marker adapter (I used a medium gray marker)
Stencil (you'll find mine here)
electronic die cutting machine and associated software (Sizzix eclips2/eCal2)
glue
embellishments for the hats as desired
Cut the cats and the eyes. Glue the eyes to the back of the cat (the hole will fit a small LED light - the strand I used had 20 lights and was purchased at HL a few years back). When the glue has dried, spray the front of the cats with a mixture of Pearl Ex and water using the eBrush and the siphon Set aside.
Cut the hats from the pumpkin file. Stencil the panels using the eBrush, and gray marker. Assemble the hats according to the directions in the video (see here). Embellish as desired and lightly spray with the Pearl Ex mixture you used a little earlier on the cats.
Add your new ornaments to the tree and enjoy!
Did you recognize this one hiding on the tree? Directions can be found here.

The tags on the tree were a free download via Pinterest. The fabric ghosts, crows and candy corn were made by a special friend of mine, named Amy quite a few years ago, but are still fun to pull out every October!
Enjoy some happy Creative time! Keep checking back... and don't forget to delve into the archives... there are some other ideas there as well.
